Least Bittern

Wakodahatchee Wetlands.  He was fairly active, in and out of the shadows.  I visited Wakodahatchee 3 times in January 2005.  I asked birders about least bitterns and they all said "one was seen this morning", or "I heard one about half an hour ago" or similar responses.  I didn't see my first one until the last half hour of my last visit.  I was told by regulars that they are at times very numerous, even sitting on the boardwalk rails.
