Little Blue Heron, Adult

This bird was at Shark Valley in the northern part of Everglades NP, off Highway 41.   It had just caught this fish and was eating it 3 feet from the paved trail along the canal.  People were walking by and it was unperturbed.  Not exactly a wilderness experience, but great for studying and photographing birds nevertheless.
