Great Egret, Anhinga Trail

Anhinga Trail is in Everglades National Park, accessed through Florida City.  In my opinion, Shark Valley and Anhinga Trail are the 2 best spots for bird photography in the Everglades.  There are lots of tourists at these locations, but that means the birds are habituated to humans, allowing close approach.  Make sure you stop at "Robert is Here", a fruit stand between Florida City and the park entrance.  They have a wide variety of tropical fruit, as well as the best fruit milkshakes I have ever tasted.
